Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Finance & Administration Cabinet, Division of Engineering & Contract Administration (DECA) is seeking professional design services for the Department of Military Affairs in the design and construction of a 27,910 SF permanent National Guard Vehicle Maintenance Shop with sustainable features compliant with Silver Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards (LEED Silver). The National Guard Vehicle Maintenance Shop includes the following items that are integral to the facility: CHP Shelter, Bulk POL Storage, Flammable Material Facility, Enclosed Unheated Storage, Rigid Pavement for MEP, Unheated Storage, Electrical Power, Photovoltaic, Controlled Waste Facility, Energy Management Control System, Sustainability/Energy Measures. Comprehensive interior design services are requested. This facility will be designed to meet industry standards as well as all local, state, and federal building codes and as per Public Law 42 U.S. Code 4154. Construction will include all utility services, information systems, fire detection and alarm systems, roads, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, parking areas and site improvements.
