Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary scope of this Facility Plan is to identify how to replace the existing aging infrastructure at the NSWTP related to the distribution and utilization of biogas, generation of thermal energy and distribution of thermal energy including methods of distribution. The scope also includes, but is not limited to, the assessment of biogas storage, biogas conditioning system, biogas driven, thermal energy producing, and electricity producing equipment along with their respective automation and controls. The Facility Plan should provide a direction to MMSD on whether to replace and/or up-grade the existing biogas-related infrastructure or change existing infrastructure to process biogas to renewable natural gas (RNG) for pipeline injection. The Facility Plan should also provide directions on how best to meet thermal energy needs depending on the recommended direction for biogas utilization.
