Conduct a thorough needs analysis of the Elko County public safety radio systems. Professional services are sought to develop proposals and recommendations for Elko County to upgrade and unite public safety radio systems in an economical and efficient manner. The new system should provide radio services to the entire county for public safety use, including dispatch, emergency management, law enforcement, fire, and ambulance services. The new system must have options for integration with state and federal partners, including Nevada State Police, Nevada Division of Forestry(NDF), BLM, and Forest Service resources. The recommendations should include options for including city public safety agencies on the new radio system. Receipt of recommendations and plans will be assessed by the Elko County E911 Advisory Board. The E911 Advisory Board may make a recommendation to the Elko County Commission to award the work document for its professional services agreement to include procurement support and implementation support (phases 2 and 3). If all submissions are rejected the board will start the process over.
