Specifications include, but are not limited to: Services required will include the following: 1. Work with the Mayor, City Council, City Administration, and Human Resources to update existing job descriptions. 2. Coordinate the development of position profiles for City Administrator and Corporation Counsel positions, including the development of ideal candidate profiles and reviews of compensation scales. 3. Coordinate recruiting efforts for the positions, including recruitment communications. This should include optimized communications strategies such as networking and direct inquiries based upon the firm’s knowledge of candidates from other searches. 4. Assist the Mayor and City Council in developing a first review/screening of the initial pool of applicants and the development of an appropriate number of semi-finalists. Provide the Council with summary reports on all semi-finalists and respond to Council questions. 5. Work with designated City Council and City Administration members to develop a comprehensive interview process; the development should include the preparation of any related site visit agendas, interview schedules, and other coordination as needed. 6. Work with the Mayor and City Council to select finalists through appropriate interview processes. 7. Conduct in-depth interviews and detailed background investigations and verify references and credentials of finalists. Prepare a detailed report on each finalist. 8. If requested, provide services to facilitate the employment of selected candidate(s) including negotiations of offers. 9. Commit to a non-poaching clause for at least five years after successfully retaining candidates for these position(s).
