Specifications include, but are not limited to: Furnishing and installing a 6’ high chain link fence around the grounds to replace the existing fence. This includes the fencing along E. Alfred St, S. Elisabeth St., E. South St. and S. Lincoln St. Parks Department will remove and dispose of all perimeter fencing and gates except as noted below. Parks staff will work with Contractor’s schedule to stay ahead of installation crew with removals. We would like to avoid having no fence around the grounds for an extended period of time. All posts are to be driven 4’ deep. All posts to be industrial grade pipe. All fence shall be installed with bottom tension wire. All corner posts are to be 3” pipe. Perimeter gates #1-5 are in good shape and will be retained. The pedestrian gate near gate #1 is to be eliminated. The unused swing gate near gate #2 is to be eliminated. The two gates east of gate #4 are to be eliminated. Internal fencing (see diagram and map) o Replace the 13’ wide (double 6’ swing gates) with new gates with privacy slats. This gate is to use the existing 4” posts and is located near the east side of the grounds between the Red Horse Barn and track area. o Replace fence and gates near the east side of the Grandstands. There is about 48’ of 6” high fencing including several swing gates. When complete, there must be swinging gates serving the same areas as the existing ones – size of the small gates can be adjusted as needed, the 15’ wide opening must remain using existing posts. All fencing and gates in this area must include privacy slats. Contractor will be required to remove fencing and old gates on this section as some of the posts may be left in place. Parks Department will dispose of fencing and gates. When preparing an estimate for the cost of services include all costs associated with this project, as it will be contracted on a lump sum basis.
