Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of New Haven maintains playgrounds that have a rubberized poured-in-place safety surface. Due to wear and tear and/or vandalism there is a need for repair/replacement to either the surface course or the base and surface course of the safety surface in various playgrounds throughout the City. The square footage of repairs at each playground location varies, typically from 1 to 15 square feet. The overall thickness of existing safety surface varies from 2 to 4 inches depending on the fall height of the equipment. The top course of existing safety surface is a blend of 50% black and 50% green, beige, or red. It is not expected that an exact match of color can be made to the existing surface color.
