Specifications include, but are not limited to: I. Overview: The Contractor shall furnish, deliver, and install one (1) 35 Cubic Yard SelfContained Trash Compactor with Cart Dumper System (“COMPACTOR”) for the Neil S. Blaisdell Center. The Contractor shall also remove and dispose of the existing self-contained compactor. II. Technical/Performance Requirements: A. The City will dump trash from existing three (3) cubic yard front loader refuse containers with side channels (lift pockets) into the COMPACTOR. Therefore, the COMPACTOR must have a hydraulic dumper system that is able to unload the trash from such refuse containers safely and effectively. B. The COMPACTOR will be transported to the disposal site by the use of a truck equipped with a tilting frame roll-off chassis for the disposal of the compacted waste. Therefore, the COMPACTOR offered must be able to be transported to the disposal site by a truck with a tilting frame roll-off chassis. C. The COMPACTOR must be a watertight unit. III. Minimum Specifications: A. Make and Model: New, current production model, Nedland Industries Model No. NSC-200-35 or approved substitute. B. Standards: 1. Shall conform to all current ANSI Z245-2 and OSHA standards. 2. Shall be fully UL Approved. C. Overall Length: 277 inches - 283 inches (OD). D. Overall Width: 98 inches - 104 inches (OD). E. Overall Height: 98 inches - 104 inches (OD). F. Overall Weight: Approx. 10,900 pounds. G. Container Capacity: 35 cu. yards. H. Compactor Capacity: 2 cu. yards. I. Fluid Sump: Approx. 980 gallons with 4-inch drains on the left and right sides of the COMPACTOR. J. Charge Opening: 42 inches x 60 inches. K. Motor: 10 horsepower, 208/230/460V, 3-phase. L. Pump: Approx. 10.5 gpm. M. Cycle Time: Approx. 45 seconds. N. Maximum Line Pressure: 2,500 psi. O. Ram Penetration: 12 inches. P. Maximum Ram Force: 58,000 pounds. Q.
