Specifications include, but are not limited to: The P-20 Project Director will work with the MDE, Mississippi Community College Board, and Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) to develop, coordinate, and implement statewide activities that promote a seamless transition from K-12 to postsecondary education and workforce in Mississippi. The P20 Project Director will: Serve as the Dual Enrollment System Task Force coordinator and assist with research, policy and procedure development, and data reporting schedule, Provide leadership in evaluation and expansion of Advanced Placement (AP) use and acceptance through research, policy and procedure development, and data reporting schedule, Coordinate efforts between K-12 and IHL to ensure consistency between high school graduation options and IHL college preparatory curriculum and admission criteria, Develop new initiatives and educational materials for use with K-12 and postsecondary to seamless education system in Mississippi, specifically education toolkits for students and parents. High school counselors, admissions counselors, and administrators, Serve as the P-20 website coordinator, Serve as the IHL representative at all Mississippi State Board of Education board meetings, Serve as the MDE representative for all Institutions of Higher Learning and Mississippi Community College Board Chief Academic Officer meetings, Serve as the MDE representative for the MS Association of Community and Junior Colleges President (MACJC) meetings, Serve as the State Coordinator for the American College Application Campaign to educate high school counselors on the college admissions application process (College Countdown MS), and Partner with K-12 leaders and others in support of initiatives that enhance college readiness.
