Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 The new Old McDonalds Farm Duck Building will be located at Bever Park, 2700 Bever Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403. The building will be adjacent to the existing duck ponds if possible. The building will be ADA accessible and will include water, electrical, sanitary sewer connection and other site furnishings as needed. The building will need to meet all applicable building codes as well as any Federal regulations pertaining to the housing animals for public exhibit. USDA Regulations can be found following: USDA Animal Welfare Act, Title 9, chapter 1, Sub Chapter A, Part 3, Sub Part G. 2.2 This project is located at the north end of Old McDonalds Farm site adjacent to the existing duck ponds. The project area is more specifically shown on the attachment drawings, but actual site may wary somewhat as the Consultant views the actual building needs and takes into account existing conditions and the needs of the users. The actual final site of the project will be selected by City Staff. 2.3 Consultant shall provide professional design consulting services to the Parks and Recreation Department. Consultant shall provide site research and investigation, preliminary design and cost estimates, public outreach for stakeholders and interested citizens, final designs, construction documents and cost estimates, and project oversight during the bidding and construction phase of the project.
