Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: MHFA instructor training and certification through the contract with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing will either take the course virtually or on-site and in-person. Up to 16 people may participate in the on-site, in-person training. Others will be able to take the training virtually if they are unable to attend in-person for any reason (illness, scheduling conflict, registering too late, etc.). While the in-person training provides an enriched and preferrable learning experience, the virtual training also gives great information and practice to allow certification.; Adult MHFA instructor certification is the result of completing an in-person training or 3- day virtual training, that provides in-depth instruction on facilitating the curriculum. This training includes self-paced pre-work, a teach-back presentation that’s each instructor candidate’s ability to present the course and a written exam.
