Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1.1 Roof Framing: 4’ o/c trusses with a 4/12 pitch roof 4.1.2 Wall Framing: 3 Ply 2x6 laminated columns w/8’ o/c Sides, 10’ o/c Gables 4.1.3 Footings: 5' In-Ground Embedment on 80# bag of Dry Mix w/ uplift protection 4.1.4 Roofing: Minimum of 28 Ga. Steel fastened 2’ o/c on 2x4’s (Color to match existing) 4.1.5 Siding: Minimum of 28 Ga. Steel fastened 2’ o/c on 2x4’s, 12” overhangs on Sides and Gables with boxed Vented Soffits, (Color to match existing) 4.1.6 Insulation: High R-Value fiberglass blanket with moisture barrier on all roof & sides of the interior or comparable equivalent. (between purlins and metal panels) 4.1.7 Concrete: Minimum 6” inside concrete floor w/ ½” rebar 2’ o/c in the garage area, 8” inside concrete floor w/ ½” rebar 2’ o/c is preferred. The selected contractor will be required to prepare and level the interior of the addition for concrete. 4.1.8 Overhead Doors: 2- 12x12 steel backed insulated doors. 4.1.9 Man Door: 1- primed steel pre-hung entry door (matching) (36”) 4.1.10 Interior Opening: An opening 8’ in with and 8’ in height will be provided between the existing building and the addition. Any mechanical systems that need to be moved to allow the opening will be done so by the City of Hutchinson. 4.1.11 Side Walls: Overhead doors and the Man door will be positioned to allow for 5 ½ ft wide areas along the North and South end of the addition. 4.1.12 Guttering and Downspouts: to be required and carry rainwater away from all four corners of the structure and follow the appropriate drainage as per the provided site plan. 4.1.13 Sewer: Existing sewer pump system on the southeast corner of the existing building will stay in place and reside in the addition. Concrete will be poured to facilitate the top of the pump system. Audible and Visual warning devices currently in place will be secured to the exterior of the addition. 4.1.14 Warranty: The Contractor will provide minimum 1-year warranty for all equipment, parts, installation, and labor 4.1.15 Testing of the concrete and subgrade will be tested by a 3rd party selected by the city to ensure no conflict of interest. 4.1.16 Waste Management Plan – Recycling and disposal of all materials from this project will be handled by the contractor selected to perform the service.
