The Town of Marana seeks proposals from artists for the design and fabrication of an aviationthemed public art project to be located near the Marana Regional Airport. The art piece will beautify the area and highlight the importance of aviation for motorists, visitors, cyclists, and residents traveling along Avra Valley Road. The art project is contingent on the Town receiving funding from the Pima Association of Governments’ (PAG) Transportation Art by Youth (TABY) grant program. Transportation Art By Youth (TABY) - Pima Association of Governments (pagregion.com). If grant funding is obtained, the Town will select an artist to proceed with the project. The selected artist will then supervise the creation and installation of the public artwork by a team that will include Marana High School student artists. The project will be subject to all requirements of the applicable grant.
