Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Replacement of existing D5B High Traffic Corridor Door Operators on both Main Compound Entry Sallyport Doors at the El Dorado Correctional Facility with equivalent or better. Operators are high security, motorized roller chain driven locking and operating mechanisms for individual sliding doors not exceeding 450 pounds. Unit unlocks, opens, and locks open; or unlocks, closes and deadlocks closed a corridor door. Door stopped in mid-travel may be opened or closed manually. Direction of movement of door may be reversed electrically. In event of blockage, a torque limiter slips to prevent motor damage. When obstruction is removed, the door will automatically continue movement towards the open or closed position. Pressure exerted by door in travel will need to be factory set to approximately 40 pounds. In event of power failure, door may be released from a column at the door location by use of a Folger Adams FA paracentric deadbolt key. The door may then be moved manually to an open position. • Locking System: Doors automatically deadlock at two points at the rear of the door. Locking components are fully concealed and not subject to inmate tampering. Local mechanical/electrical control of the door is accomplished by an 80 Series lock in an adjacent column. • Connect new operators to existing field wiring and testing for correct operation of new Operators. Adjust locking mechanisms for maximum setting and engagement. Calibrate limit switches for correct indication and travel. Test key and re-locking functions. Test electrical operation for door control and proper indication. • Door width 40”, opening 83” x 39¾”, Operator cover length 94¾”, height 14”, depth 10”. • 7ga Steel for operator mechanism housing. Housing cover 10ga steel. • Motor voltage 110V, indication/door control switches voltage is 24V. • One of the two door must always remain secure. • Tools and parts will be inventoried in and out of facility each day. • Area must be kept neat while work is being performed. Area needs to be clean and free of debris at the end of each business day. • Contractor will be always escorted. • Work hours will be 0700 – 1500 M-F. Work will not be done on major holidays.
