Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The vendor will provide a fire protection system at 32 King George that will integrate with CofC's existing 50+ inter-connected & compatible systems that all operate through a mainframe system called "True Site Workstation" (TSW). The TSW maintains & delivers a state of the art detailed fire alarm network that allows for on-site dispatching, central monitoring, and up to the minute service details. Although there are other fire protection systems available in the market, there are no resellers of Simplex Grinnell or vendors who can provide equipment that can integrate with the College's existing monitoring system "True Site Work" The TSW is capable of the addition of any additional needed systems, but is not capable of integrating with outside equipment, nor with the fire alarm panels already installed. Compatibility & interoperability are key factors to ensure consistency, reliability and safety. Also, maintaining consistency and similar equipment allows for interchangeable equipment, which allows for lower long term service cost and improved maintenance.
