Specifications include, but are not limited to: Mattresses shall confirm to the following standards, bidder must provide documentation asserting mattress testing was completed in accordance with the standards and limits were not exceeded: 16-CFR 1633 and 1632 Standard for the Flammability (Open Flame) of Mattress Sets Mattress cover to be constructed of 210 Denier Nylon Polyurethane back coated (EPA Registered) Antimicrobial, Anti Fungal, Fluid Proof, Non-Allergenic, Odor Free, Anti Static, Crack Resistant and Half-Zippered with inverted seams. Must meet CFR 1633 Fire Test Requirements. Manufactured with no tape edge seams to along surfaces to deter bedbugs; label must be included on the mattress listing the components and manufacturer. At the time of delivery and for a minimum durable life of five (5) years, mattresses will be free of defects and other flaws that might cause the mattress and/or seam lines to unravel, fray, slip,slide, or have any other movement that affects the use, appearance, or comfort of the mattress. In addition, no penetrations or other modifications shall be made that compromises the fire safety Integrity of the mattress. Contractor agrees to remedy without cost to the university any defects which may develop within five (5) years from the date of final delivery provided said defects.
