Specifications include, but are not limited to: Big game animals can have negative impacts on agricultural operations. To help mitigate this impact, the Division of Wildlife Resources assists private landowners in excluding wildlife from certain areas. This is accomplished by constructing 8' fences surrounding assets such as a haystack. In order to ensure human access into these enclosures 8' gates are provided at times. The Division of Wildlife is currently soliciting bids for a 5 year contract to provide 8' tall gates that exclude big game animals. Annual orders will typically be between $5,000 - $15,000 but may be below or above this estimation depending on needs. These will be used in a variety of fencing situations used to exclude big game animals. The desired product specifications are listed below: Gates Made from 1 5/8" or heavier galvanized steel pipe with a wall thickness of no less than 17 gauge. Gate height is to be a minimum of 7' 6", length is to be 9' 6". There are to be center bars welded in the gate making 4 equal sections. The outside is a rectangular shape with a + sign in the center. There are to be 2 adjustable hinges with nuts and bolts for each gate and 2 -8" j lag bolt with nuts on the end that will go through a wood post for each gate. All welds are to be painted to match the silver color of the gates with a paint that prevents rusting.
