Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project includes routine maintenance and modification and expansion of the facilities to receive a new, 525-foot, purpose-built National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV). The project includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following actions: • Remove approximately 7,500 SF of timber pier and replace it with a steel pile supported concrete pier. • Modify steel pile-supported concrete mooring and breasting platforms to raise the deck elevation to match the new pier. • Construct an approximate 18,700 square foot steel pile supported concrete pier extension, including pile rock sockets, pile rock anchors, mooring hardware, foam-filled fenders and cone fenders with panels. • Construct three 30-foot by 30-foot steel pile supported concrete mooring dolphins, including pile rock sockets, pile rock anchors, mooring hardware and prefabricated aluminum access walkways. • Construct approximately 7,500 square feet of timber floating docks with steel guide piles, including pile rock sockets and prefabricated aluminum gangways. • Construct a 24-foot wide by 115-foot long concrete floating breakwater with steel guide piles, including pile rock sockets. • Construct approximately 115 linear feet of steel sheet pile bulkhead. • Construct approximately 187 linear feet of precast concrete modular block wall along the shoreline. • Recoat existing steel sheet pile bulkhead. • Repair Travel Lift Pier piles. • Repair existing floating docks and guide piles. • Reconfigure and upgrade electrical, communications, steam, water and wastewater systems between the upland service points and the waterfront facilities. • Complete maintenance dredging of approximately 650 cubic yards of sediment with upland disposal at a licensed landfill.
