Specifications include, but are not limited to: UDOT Region Two requests’ bids from private contractors to furnish and install waterborne acrylic pavement marking paint, pavement messages, and preformed thermoplastic messages. These pavement markings are applied to hot mix asphalt or Portland cement concrete pavement as longitudinal and/or transverse markings, contrast lines, and other related markings. Pavement marking grooving and removal services are also needed for pavement marking paint and thermoplastic markings. These services will be done only within the UDOT Region Two boundaries. It is anticipated that most, if not all work will be performed during night hours when traffic is at a minimum. Directions will be given to the Contractor by the designated UDOT Representative as to when and where the pavement marking services are to be performed. This contract will provide UDOT Maintenance forces with a tool to have UDOT approved pavement markings installed, removed and/or replaced in accordance with UDOT standards when UDOT Maintenance cannot perform this work with their own workforce. This will be a multi award contract (primary, secondary tertiary) per county. The counties will be Salt Lake, Tooele, Summit Counties and include a portion of SR 248 running approximately 5 miles into Wasatch County, SR 150 running approximately 5 miles into Duchesne County, and SR35 running approximately 2 miles into Wasatch County.
