Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to: legally and correctly install and complete two groundwater wells (environmental wells) as specified. The contractor must be registered and licensed with the Minnesota Department of Health as a Well Contractor. The project consists of installing up to two (2) new groundwater observation wells (environmental wells) in Carlton County, MN at Red Clover WMA near Cromwell and Cloquet Forestry Center (CFC) near Cloquet. Both wells will be installed into consolidated bedrock formations. The wells will be drilled using the air driven/air hammer drilling method. NSF-approved drilling foam additives may be used as needed. Due to the dense crystalline bedrock in this area, conventional mud rotary drilling will not be allowed.
