Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work to be done on this project includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove and replace four (4) motorized roll-up doors, along with electrical work and metal framework, at the Pier 2 Shed, Nawiliwili Harbor, Kauai. Door No. 4 is to have installed a new exterior keyed operation station and electrical conduit as specified on the drawings and within these specifications. This work is to be incidental to the roll-up door repair items. Bidders are advised to examine the existing conditions at the proposed project site to familiarize themselves with the nature and extent of work involved and working conditions. Appointments may be made with the Harbors Maintenance Engineer for clarification of the work involved or definition of the limits of the work. Approximate repair locations are indicated on the plans. Actual methods of repair may vary from that indicated on the drawings. The Construction Engineer reserves the right to alter repair methods, sizes, and locations to suit field conditions. The work to be done includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items of work: A. Removing and disposing of four (4) existing motor operated roll-up doors and all other related appurtenances. B. Repairing existing corroded steel door jamb by welding on a new steel plate. C. Furnishing and installing four (4) new motor operated roll-up doors, guides and all other related appurtenances. D. Performing electrical work for new roll-up doors. E. Repairing corroded sections of existing door frame steel jambs and headers. F. Preparing and painting new roll-up doors and door frame surfaces.
