• Evaluate, understand, and document basis of design information for the CAS secondary treatment process using District-supplied historical data and previous modelling efforts. • Assess the condition of the 4-decade-old reinforced concrete structure and recommend improvements for its refurbishment. • Inventory and assess the condition of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and instruments and controls. This evaluation includes air supply lines, valves, gates, actuators, diffusers, instruments, and control systems. • Recommend, design, and specify new mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and instruments and controls to replace equipment that has exceeded its useful operating life. • Develop an aeration strategy, and program new instruments to increase operational efficiency and resiliency, and integrate new and existing equipment into the existing SCADA system.
