Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. Fine art framing for the attached list of photographs (“Works”) in June 2024. Framing must meet the following specifications: 1.1.1. Wood frame for all pieces with outside mat board dimension that are over 32” x 40”; 1.1.2. Framers Inventory 900020 prefinished matte black wood frame 1 5/8” face x 1 3/8” deep (or museum-approved equivalents), OP3 UV acrylic glazing, top mat 3” all around - 9506C 4ply rag mat with 4 ply rag back, acid free backing, strainer and assembly and metal stirrup hanging system; 1.1.3. Specifications for Works using a metal section frame for all pieces that have an outside mat board dimension of 32” x 40” or under; 1.1.4. Nielson 11721N metal frame with 3/8” face x 1 ¼” deep matte black finish (or museum-approved equivalents), OP3 UV acrylic glazing, top mat 2” all around - 9506C 4ply rag mat with 4 ply rag back, acid free backing, and assembly; 1.1.5. Assembly with stirrups hanging system; 1.1.6. Hinge (with Japanese paper and wheat paste or Beva mounted to Japanese paper) all pieces to rag with 4ply rising warm white top mat with 2- 3” all around depending on size; and 1.1.7. All framing and backing materials must be archival and suitable for permanent framing of photographs. 1.2. Vendor must be able to create custom insulated museum crates for all works. Crate construction must be suitable for exhibition travelling of artworks. Crates may be front or side-load crates with 1" EPS insulation, foam core dividers/cardboard trays as appropriate, rain guard, and bolt sets or Phillips screw closures as appropriate. 1.3. Vendor must provide R/T transportation of Works and all crates, pickup from University, and return shipping to University.
