This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for Re-Roofing the Nearman Water Treatment Plant Laboratory Building (located at 4301 Brenner Drive) in Kansas City, Kansas A. Nearman Water Treatment Plant (Laboratory Building) (approx. 6000 sq ft) Tear off, removing, and disposing of the existing fully adhered, single ply membrane, including 600 sqft of insulation plus in spots where replacement is needed after removal of existing membrane down to metal deck. Include 500 sqft of 2” base layer of new, mechanically fastened insulation to existing deck, actual quantity to be identifed after existing membrane is removed. Include 100 sqft of new full-tapered polyisocyanurate(min ½ inch starting height and 1/8” per ft slope) roofing insulation system, secured with low rise foam adhesive, actual quantity to be identified after existing membrane is removed. Install ½” glass mat reinforced gypsum cover board mechanically fastened to existing metal deck. Insulation system to be installed per manufacturers requirements. Install a fully-adhered 60 mil Fleece Back or greater TPO Membrane Roof System per manufacturers’ requirements for a 20 year warranty. Roofing system to include all roof related sheet metal trims (coping cap, counterflashing, & metal edge trim) and replacement roof drain rings and strainer domes (extensions to be added to overflow drains where needed, see attached drawing for extension).
