Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Mount Pleasant (Town) will receive Bids for the Shem Creek Shrimp Docks Rebuild project, located at 102 Haddrell Street, on Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The project includes the replacement of the existing timber shrimping boardwalks and replacement of the floor of the existing Fish House building over the water (currently condemned and not in use). The Town is requiring Contractors to be licensed as Marine Contractors for this project, as the work is required to be performed working from a barge on the water. Construction will be performed in a two-phased manner to allow for continual operation of the facility throughout construction. The Contractor will be required to communicate and coordinate with tenant and shrimp vessel operators, as needed. The Scope of Services shall include, but is not limited to, demolition and removal of existing timber boardwalks (framing, piles, utilities), demolition and removal of the following items in the existing Fish House building: concrete floor, timber subfloor and floor framing, timber and concrete piles, miscellaneous utilities, including toilet and sink, interior office enclosure, roof, miscellaneous debris below the building necessary for the installation of new items, construction of new timber boardwalks, construction of new concrete piles and floor system for Fish House building, temporary shoring of building walls, installation of steel sheet pile wall at the shoreline of Fish House, construction of new roof for Fish House, procurement and installation of new doors on Fish House, infill of existing door openings in the walls of the Fish House, installation of new electrical system for boardwalks and Fish House, installation of plumbing system for boardwalks and Fish House, installation of marine pedestals on boardwalk, procurement and installation of sinks and other miscellaneous items inside the Fish House, design and installation of temporary access to phase 1 boardwalk following completion of phase 1, installation of temporary utilities to phase 1 boardwalk following completion of phase 1, demolition and replacement of concrete sidewalk for utility installation, and other items as necessary to complete the project scope of work.
