Specifications include, but are not limited to:• Review and summarize the current status and trends for Oregon salmon and steelhead populations by geographic area (Oregon Coast, Rogue–South Coast, Lower Columbia, Upper Willamette, Mid-Columbia, and Snake River Species Management Units) and species/run type (spring Chinook salmon, fall Chinook salmon, coho salmon, summer steelhead, and winter steelhead) based on federal recovery plans and five-year status reviews, state conservation plans, and other relevant documents. • Review and summarize existing information about the climate vulnerability of Oregon salmon and steelhead populations by geographic area (Oregon Coast, Rogue–South Coast, Lower Columbia, Upper Willamette, Mid-Columbia, and Snake Species Management Units) and species/run type (spring Chinook salmon, fall Chinook salmon, coho salmon, summer steelhead, and winter steelhead). • Develop a summary detailing the name, location, species/run type, and purpose (mitigation, harvest augmentation, conservation, etc.) of all hatchery programs in Oregon. • Review and summarize trends in angling license sales or other relevant indicators of participation in or support for salmon, steelhead, and trout fisheries in Oregon. • Qualitatively assess the likely impact of climate change on the need (increase, decrease, status quo) for hatchery programs to support fisheries or conservation based on the information described above. • Submit a written report to the Department with the information and analyses described above. Include in the written report graphics displaying a) the method of assessment and 2) the results of the assessment in (5) above in the form of a state map or other agreed upon format.
