Specifications include, but are not limited to: The services to be provided under this Program are broken into groups: compactor trucks (Group 1), dumpsters (Group 2), tires (Group 3). Mattresses/box springs (Group 4), metal recycling (Group 5), and tree debris (Group 6). The City will consider an alternative methodology and approach that varies from the proposed scope of services The following guidelines apply to all groups: • The City maintains the right to contract with multiple firms to accommodate all Neighborhood equipment requests. • All equipment used must have a current City of Wichita Solid Waste Decal prior to starting the neighborhood cleanup program. Additionally, using 4" minimum letters and numbers, the name and current local telephone number of the firm must be clearly displayed on two sides of the equipment used in this program. • Prior to execution of the contract, the City may inspect the firm’s equipment to ensure compliance with these specifications. If the firm’s equipment does not pass the City’s inspection, then the firm will be allowed ten calendar days to obtain the necessary equipment. If the firm does not meet the equipment requirements, then they will be removed from contract consideration. • Additional inspections may be conducted at frequent intervals during the term of the contract to assure that compactor trucks and dumpsters are being maintained. Failure of the firm to correct any deficiencies within seven calendar days will result in forfeiture of the contract unless otherwise authorized by the City. • The equipment used to deliver services under all groups shall be delivered to a cleanup site as specified under the “Order of Process” section.
