In general, the work consists of: a new higher education Health and Science Building on the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire campus. The building is a cast in place concrete frame on deep foundation system and will be connected to campus utilities. It is a five-story building with an additional 6th floor level that includes mechanical equipment spaces, a greenhouse, and an observatory. Exterior enclosure is a rainscreen cavity wall with CMU and face brick, and curtainwall glazing systems. The building is by code a high-rise due to the size of the 6th floor level enclosed area. Interior space includes teaching and research laboratories, offices, and support spaces for multiple departments. Ground level includes a planetarium.
