Specifications include, but are not limited to: ITEM #1: HIGH FREQUENCY RIGHT-OF-WAY MOWING - The Village of Northbrook is seeking contractual assistance for mowing services at multiple high frequency rights-of-way locations throughout the Village as depicted in Attachment B. The Contractor shall provide pricing for this scope of work service based on the total estimated areas of grass/weeds to be mowed on a per occasion basis. Mowing operations are expected to begin on or about May 1; however, operations may begin earlier or later depending on turf growth. It is estimated that approximately 15 cuttings will be required during the contract period for HIGH FREQUENCY RIGHT-OF-WAY locations; however, the Contractor will be responsible for mowing as many times as needed to ensure that grass does not exceed 8 inches in length. For the months of July and August, high frequency mowing will occur every two weeks unless Owner directs otherwise. Mowing exceeding the contract number require written approval from the Owner’s Project Supervisor prior to proceeding. Unapproved mowing will not be allowed to be invoiced. Prior to mowing, the contractor will be responsible to collect and lawfully dispose of all trash, tree branches, rocks or other debris commonly found in the right-of-way. All clippings will be mulched in place and left on site without clumping. The contractor will provide line trimming of all adjacent fence lines, fire hydrants, power poles, sign posts or other structure in the right-of-way to maintain a neat, professional appearance when complete. All excess grass clippings on sidewalks, driveways and streets will be blown back into the turf area. All drainage ditches that fall within the right-of-way to be mowed shall be cut as needed to maintain safe sight lines but at minimum two (2) times per season. All excessive landscape debris from the ditches shall be collected and lawfully disposed of by the contractor.
