Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of small plot research combine from Zurn as a sole source because of the contractor being the only provider able to meet critical parameters to support research and/or business needs of the university. The research combine requires a minimum 108 HP, to handle large quantities of biomass and thresh small seeds, an adjustable concave with changeable debearding bars, straw walkers, pickup header, and be compatible with a modified John Deere swather used in the research. Zurn was the only entity selling a combine in North America that meets all the requirements and was able to build a header suitable for Oregon seed production systems.
