Specifications include, but are not limited to: Locking Hardware Installation and Repairs: Contractor shall: 1. Install new locking mechanisms on doors requiring security enhancement. 2. Update existing doors (as noted) to include modern, high-security locks of the same type and function, compatible with UNLV's existing keying systems. 3. Ensure all new installations are in line with current security standards and practices. Hardware Specifications: 1. Doors: Refer to the UNLV Planning & Construction Technical Design Guidelines for acceptable replacement wood, metal, and doors, specifically this section of Tab C: a. Division 08 - Doors b. Non-handed doors are not acceptable. All doors shall have beveled edges. 2. Locks: To ensure durability and reliability, Contractors shall use Schlage L Series Grade 1 Mortise Locks and ND Series Grade 1 Cylindrical Locks. UNLV Facilities will provide detailed part numbers for buildingspecific locks. 3. Exit Devices: Contractor shall install Von Duprin 98/99 Series Exit Devices, providing secure and accessible egress options. 4. Electronic Access Control: Contractor shall ensure the new materials integrate with existing card reader systems, using Schlage MT 15 readers, to provide security and monitoring capabilities. 5. Door Closers: Install heavy-duty, adjustable door closers that are compliant with ADA standards and ensure functionality in high-traffic areas. Contractors can use either the LCN 4040XP or Norton 7500 series. 6. Hinges: McKinney MacPro butt hinges. 7. Key cylinders will be Yale KeyMark 2A Restricted SFIC core. (A Letter Of Authorization will be provided to Contractors for ordering.) Contractor Responsibilities: 1. Replace and install doors, frames, and locking hardware in accordance with UNLV's operational and aesthetic standards. 2. Ensure all installations provide enhanced security while maintaining ease of use and accessibility. 3. Coordinate closely with UNLV Facilities Management for specific requirements or constraints related to individual buildings. UNLV has previously inventoried door assemblies to aid Contractors in their understanding of the Scope of Work. 4. All assemblies must maintain their designed fire rating.
