Specifications include, but are not limited to: SCOPE OF WORK FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER SERVICES: a. Serve as the Case Manager for the identified students on the Contracted Exceptional Education teacher’s caseload b. Provide Specially Designed Instruction for students with disabilities c. Provide behavioral and social/emotional management for students with disabilities d. Provide services within the general education classroom and/or outside of the general education classroom, as determined by the students’ IEP e. Schedule IEP meetings with parents and staff within the appropriate Federal, State and District timelines f. Complete all IEP paperwork within the appropriate Federal, State, and District timelines g. Contact parents to discuss progress or issues h. Attend IEP meetings for the students on their caseload i. Consult with school staff j. Possess familiarity with a range of assessment techniques and tools that are currently used to determine Exceptional Education support services. k. Serve as a member of multi-disciplinary team in student assessments for eligibility determination of exceptional education support services. l. Facilitate IEP meetings, take team meeting notes, and complete all paperwork associated with the IEP meeting m. Consult with general education teachers regarding student behavior and academic achievement. n. Ensure all staff, (general education teachers, teacher assistants, office staff, lunch staff,) have access to the student’s IEP. SCOPE OF WORK FOR EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION SUBSTITUTE TEACHER SERVICES: a. Serve as teacher in the absence of a Special Education Classroom Teacher or Case Manager for the identified students on the Contracted Exceptional Education teacher’s classroom roster or caseload b. Provide Specially Designed Instruction for students with disabilities c. Provide assessments and feedback regarding student’s progress on instructional strategies and IEP goals d. Provide services within the general education classroom and/or outside of the general education classroom, as determined by the students’ IEP e. Collaborate with General Education Teachers to ensure student access to IEP accommodations f. Contact parents to discuss progress or issues h. Attend IEP meetings for the students on their class roster or caseload i. Consult with school staff j.
