Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Lewiston, in coordination with the Androscoggin Transportation Resource Center, (ATRC) and the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) is issuing this RFP for Master Plan Transportation Study Consultant Services to conduct a feasibility study to answer the following questions: (1) What long-term (5+ year) transportation investments are most important to address existing safety deficiencies and complement ongoing mobility and economic development activities within the study area? (2) What short-term (3 to 5 year) improvements would make sense to address safety, mobility, and accessibility while supporting long-term goals and implementation strategies? (3) How will this study coordinate with the ongoing transportation study funded by a SS4A grant? (4) How will this study take recommendations outlined within the recent Riverfront Island Master Plan (RIMP) update to the next level? As part of addressing these questions, the study will identify both short-term and potential transformative transportation recommendations to improve safety, accessibility, safety, resiliency, equity, and economic development.
