Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1.3. Provide full-time and part-time daily childcare services for up to 100 children ranging in age from infant to 5th grade. Provider shall operate facility Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. each week, with exception of (i) holidays as specified by the University, (ii) a one-week period immediately preceding fall term, and (iii) the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. During regularly scheduled University vacation periods i.e., spring break, winter break, or break periods before and after summer session, Provider may operate a reduced schedule. The annual calendar of operations must be approved in advance by University. 3.1.4. Coordinate and provide services to transport children from day schools to childcare facility. 3.1.5. Provide support staff as necessary to meet or exceed state-mandated staff-child ratios and to assist in the operation of the Childcare Facility. Proposer may choose to employ student support staff. Ensure that all employees and volunteers are appropriately qualified and meet the State of Oregon and NAEYC certification requirements enumerated above. 3.1.6. At Proposer’s sole cost and expense, ensure that all employees and volunteers have successfully passed a comprehensive background check that includes, but is not limited to, review of state criminal and sex offender registries, state child abuse and neglect registries, National Crime Information Center, FBI fingerprint check, and the National Sex Offender Registry (run by the Department of Justice. Documentation confirming the completion of such background checks must be available to University upon request. 3.1.7. Ensure that the environment and equipment in the facility are maintained in a manner conducive to the health, safety, and comfort of the children. Work with University facility operators to uphold health and safety standards. 3.1.8. Develop and implement a risk management plan that addresses among other issues, safety, security, volunteers, staff, access to children, drop-off and pick-up of children, access to the facility, and health of children and staff
