The current enrollment and estimated enrollment for the requested textbooks and materials per program is listed as follows: Grade; Student Numbers; 9; 600; 10; 494; 11; 325; 12; 342; Total 1,761 Vendors are welcome to submit materials within the specific grade band: 9-12. For purposes of evaluation, this specific grade band has been designated, but MPS will consider any proposed solutions, regardless of the grades covered. The materials should include: a. Age-appropriate approach to teaching language based on research, written by authors who have second language acquisition qualifications and evidence of advancing awareness of the role of language learning in achievement; b. Clear sequencing of language development for all levels of English proficiency; c. Grade-level appropriate integration of content such as, reading, English language arts, mathematics, science, history, citizenship, art, music, and physical education based on 9th-12th grade academic content standards; d. Comprehensible instruction, including authentic, high-quality modeled language for listening, speaking, reading, and writing skill development; e. Clear focus on the modes of listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing, and representing; f. Differentiation and scaffolding at all levels of English proficiency; g. Systematic, easy to follow unit/lesson plans with clear common language and guided practice; h. Clear and focused instruction around foundational literacy skill development for language learning; i. Provides rubrics and both formative and summative assessments; j. Digital tools to bridge the connection between school and home and help support classroom instruction; k. Customizable professional development to help educators achieve full implementation success
