Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project consists of the removal of approximately 6,500 square feet of existing roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, underlayment’s, roof edgings, flashings, accessories and related components. Contractor shall inspect the roof deck for damage and proper ventilation and notify the owner of any damage or deterioration. Upon inspection, related repair of the roof deck and proper ventilation confirmation, the contractor shall install ice and water surface treatment three feet each side of valleys and three feet upwards from warm edge of exterior wall at perimeter; install 30 pound underlayment throughout roof; install all new roof edge, flashings, accessories and related components with matching lot number architectural composite shingles and related accessories with minimum 50 year commercial warranty and 10 year full replacement coverage by CertainTeed, Owens Corning, GAF or equivalent manufacturer. Contractor shall be a manufacturer certified installer and shall complete all warranty submittals and provide owner with factory warranty. Installer shall protect facility against moisture intrusion during project and repair any and all damage related to the project. Contractor shall provide protection at building and surrounding area, including protection of plantings, trees, shrubs, and turf areas. Contractor shall clean all materials and debris related to the project and provide adequate receptacles for materials. Staging areas, interruptions and loud work shall be coordinated with the owner. In the event hazardous materials, including asbestos containing materials are discovered the contractor shall be certified to properly remove and dispose of any and all materials including providing proper documentation of disposal.
