Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Slurry Seal: Measurement and payment shall be by the square yard. The slurry shall be Type III for skid resistance and shall meet the 2024 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction, Section 00706 - Emulsified Asphalt Slurry Seal Surfacing. The Contractor shall provide a detailed schedule of the work to be performed within a reasonable amount of time prior to the start of work. b. Traffic control and work progression: Streets may be closed as approved by City of Pendleton on a case by case basis. Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary signing and public notification. Overall schedule must be submitted to and approved by City five (5) days prior to commencing work. Access shall follow the requirements ofthe ODOT 2022 Standard Specification section 00706. See Item 5. NOTIFICATION c. Street sweeping and cleaning: The Contractor will ultimately be responsible to ensure that the surface of the street is adequately cleaned to guarantee the performance of the product before it is applied to the street surface. However, the City will provide one passing with a street sweeper within a few days prior to the application of the product, if a schedule is provided to the City before the Project begins, or within reasonable time before the product is applied. The Contractor shall submit a schedule within a reasonable amount of time to allow the City to schedule cleaning of the streets ahead of the slurry seal operations. Contractor will be ultimately responsible to remove any vegetation or any other substances or debris that will interfere with the slurry seal and shall remove and/or treat any vegetation needed to complete the Project. d. Striping and Pavement Marking: The Contractor shall be responsible for all the road striping. Measurement and payment shall be by the linear foot for striping. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the location of all pavement striping and markers during the project and re-painting same after the overlay or reconstruction has been completed.
