Specifications include, but are not limited to: AHEC is a non-profit that identifies the educational needs of healthcare professionals and provides educational programs designed to enhance clinical skills, address ongoing emerging health trends, and help professionals maintain their licensure and certifications with school nursing in mind. Lowcountry AHEC will also act as the fiscal agent for conferences and web-based productions. SCDHEC needs a multifaceted partner to be the fiscal agent, the content developer, have capacity to provide Continuing Education Credits (CEU) to school nurses, have experience with the school nurse professional development needs, and have the ability to market the products to school nurses. Lowcountry AHEC is uniquely positioned to provide all of those services.
