Specifications include, but are not limited to: Engineering firm shall provide construction engineering (inspection) services for the A-49 Bridge Replacement Project in Leavenworth County. Engineer shall be on the current KDOT prequalified list related to construction inspection services. a. Engineer shall provide competent experienced construction inspector/observer for the duration of the project to observe the work in progress to determine that the project is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents and that the completed work will conform to the contract requirements. The inspector/observer shall have, as a minimum, the following qualifications: 1) KDOT CIT certifications including, but not limited to Basic Inspection (BI), Structures (STR), Asphalt Inspection (AI) and Concrete Paving Inspection (CPI). All testing personnel will possess, at a minimum, certifications for, Nuclear Gauge (NG) and Aggregate Field Tester (AGF). The County reserves the right to require additional certifications if deemed necessary. 2) Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in roadway construction inspection / observation.
