Specifications include, but are not limited to: East Hartford Public Schools is looking to securely back up data from the enterprise server infrastructure. The vendor must consider the current backup software used (Veeam), as we do not plan to replace this software now. We are open to any backup design proposals. ** Each vendor may respond with multiple options for the infrastructure design. Respondents will need to provide pricing on the following storage solutions (physical and/or cloud): • Local backup storage • Off-site backup retention storage • For each physical storage device: o (2x) compatible SFP+ GBICs o (2x) power cables o (1x) set of 4-post rack rails • Licensing and warranty (if applicable); At a minimum, each physical storage device should have the following: • Ability to rack-mount • Redundant power supplies and controllers • Hot-swappable power supplies, controllers, disks, and fans (if applicable) • 2-disk fault-tolerant storage configuration • 130TB of useable storage with room to grow for future expansion • Ability to perform both attended and unattended copies of the storage from the local unit to the off-site storage (and vice-versa) • (2x) SFP+ connections and (1x) twisted-pair copper management connection • Ability for the SFP+ connections to reside on separate subnets with a different static IP configuration per port • Ability to sound an audible alarm for hardware failure • Failure-prediction-capability; Services • Document newly installed backup solution and disaster recovery plan and provide Visio and PDF copies electronically; Experience • In-house system design capability for backup storage solutions, security, and accessibility with an emphasis on providing optimal performance and power in a district-wide integrated solution • The ability to troubleshoot and repair various network issues related to backup storage architecture, implementation, and maintenance • Installation of new backup storage solutions in large educational/commercial facilities • Integration of existing devices/software/systems with new (when applicable) to create costeffective and dynamic systems • Analysis of existing systems and creation of long-term plans for upgrades, additions, and modifications utilizing a best-value approach • Ability to make product/systems recommendations based on current technology security needs and looking to the future for possible needs • Testing and preventative maintenance services for all systems and devices • Knowledge of “back-end” IT requirements of systems to ensure the right product is being proposed to work with additional IT infrastructure, or a clear understanding of what upgrades would be needed to support modified or new systems
