Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed improvements consist of reconstructing approximately 1201 lineal feet of 45.5’ and 38.5’ wide existing concrete pavement with new 6” (six) inch to eight (8”) inch Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement on a drainable subbase with subdrains on 18th Street from 53rd Avenue to St. Andrews Circle. There will also be eight (8”) inch patching on 56th Avenue West for approximately 300 feet west of the 18th Street intersection. Also included with this project is the removal and replacement of driveway approaches, partial reconstruction of sidewalks, storm sewer intake reconstruction, storm sewer intake adjustments, manhole adjustments, pavement striping, sodding, erosion control, traffic control, and other work related to reconstructing this street. 2. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION • Edge lineOn two (2) lane streets without parking lanes, the edge line shall be a continuous four inch (4”) wide, white, reflectorized line. The line shall be placed such that the outside edge is three inches (3”) plus or minus one inch (1”) from the outside edge of the pavement. Gaps in the edge line will be left at intersecting streets. • CenterlineThe center line shall be a broken fourteen foot (14’) long painted and twenty four foot (24’) long gap, four inch (4”) wide, yellow reflectorized line. Gaps in the center line shall be left at major intersections as directed by the City. • Double Yellow CenterlineThe center line shall be two (2) continuous four inch (4”) wide, yellow, reflectorized lines with an eight inch (8”) gap between them. Gaps in the center line shall be left at major intersections as directed by the City. • Lane LineThe center line shall be a broken fourteen foot (14’) long painted and twenty four foot (24’) long gap, four inch (4”) wide, white reflectorized line. Gaps in the center line shall be left at major intersections as directed by the City. • Turn Lane Lines at IntersectionsThe line shall be continuous four inch (4”) wide, white reflectorized line. • SymbolsSymbols shall generally consist of “turn”, “combo” and “straight” arrows and “only” symbols.
