Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vendor will provide Patient Attendant to William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital (WRSJH) and Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital (MMBH) 24/7//365. Patient Attendant duties will be inclusive of, but not limited to, conducting patient safety rounds, performing patient observations, and hall monitoring. Patient Attendant rounds and patient observations should be performed in accordance with Doctor ordered observations (“CCO”, 1:1, 2:1, etc.). Patient safety rounds and observations must be completed using all Hospital required documentation. Patient Attendant will report any issues, changes or discrepancies noted on patient safety rounds, or during patient observations to the appropriate staff. Patient Attendants will be assigned to specific patients in accordance with the Hospitals' Level of Observation policy, which is attached hereto as Exhibit B. Attendants will Interact routinely with patients, observe behavior patterns, and communicate significant observations to Charge RN and or Treatment Team. Document information regarding patient care and behavior as required in policy and procedure. Attendants will supervise patients going to and from treatment areas and in special care areas as assigned, such as Temporary Medical Leave (TML), patient/family visits, patient transports. Attendants will assist nursing staff in responding to emergency situations. Attendants will maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policy and procedure and standards of care. Attendants will review and adhere to all departmental/facility policies, state and federal law. Attendants will monitor and document the monitoring of different patient observational levels, i.e. 15-minute checks, close constant observation or 1:1 observation of patients with appropriate hand off communication. All Patient Attendants must complete mandatory training programs and annual training as required and provided by the facility, including Crisis Consultant Group (CCG) and CPR certification. Vendor will be paid at an effective Hourly Rate for each hour worked. The hourly rate paid to the vendor will be the same for all Patient Attendant. The hourly rate should be inclusive of recruiting, benefits, insurance, and all other employee-related expenses. The vendor is expected to manage their own staff call offs. The vendor acknowledges that Overtime may be mandated for contract staff when deemed necessary to meet regulatory requirements. Overtime can only be mandated and / or approved by the Facility Administrator or their designee. Vendor must provide an onsite manager for each Hospital to manage their staff at the Hospital, and act as a liaison between the vendor and the Hospital. The onsite will be expected to be on site during normal business hours. Vendor must provide additional onsite supervisors as needed in addition to the onsite manager to manage their staff at the Hospital. The supervisor will be expected to be on site during normal business hours. Vendor will perform all recruiting, interviews, scheduling, and other management for their staff. Attendants must clock in and clock out using the facilities’ automated time clock or manual timesheet system. WRSJH uses Ability Shifthound and MMBH uses Time Pilot. Manual timesheets are used when the electronic time clocks are not working. Vendor must have a minimum 25 patient attendants ready to start at each Hospital within thirty (30) days of the start of the contract. Additional attendants will be provided on an ongoing basis until the full Hospital needs are met.
