Specifications include, but are not limited to: (A) Perform all custodial and maintenance tasks as specified in the Custodial and Maintenance Task Frequency Matrix as specified in Appendix A Custodial and Maintenance Tasks Frequency Matrix, of the Appendices. All cleaning work and treatment shall be accomplished in accordance with the manufacturer’s directions and or listed specifications and industry standards applicable to the Professional Cleaning and Restoration Industry. Within fourteen (14) calendar days of the notice to proceed, the Contractor shall thoroughly clean, strip, seal and wax (a minimum of 4 coats) and buff all interior tiled areas. This operation shall be conducted at a minimum of two (2) separate and approximately equal areas of operating per building, with a minimum two (2) working days between areas. The break in operations is intended to allow the State to move furniture within the operational areas. The Contractor shall keep the Engineer informed of his daily operations and progress so he can coordinate the furniture moving operations. This work shall be included in the Contractor's proposal for the tasks to be performed. (B) Emergency Cleaning – Upon notification by the Engineer, the Contractor shall respond within four (4) hours during off hours and two (2) hours during regular working hours. The Contractor shall perform emergency cleaning due to broken or leaking pipes, sinks or other occurrences requiring immediate attention to restore an area to its normal cleanliness. The Contractor shall be paid by Bid Item No. 1.2, 2.2 & 3.2 Miscellaneous of the Proposal Schedule. Refer to Section 10.20(B).1 of the Specifications. In order for the Contractor to commence performance of all miscellaneous work, a Notice to Proceed letter (NTP) shall be issued by the Engineer. (C) Report of Hazardous Conditions to the Engineer 1. Illnesses. 2. Damage to government property. 3. Blocked culverts, ditches and swales.
