Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide training to healthcare providers or clinics serving youth and families. Describe evidenced-based practices and assessment techniques that will be utilized as part of training, including, but not limited to: Cultural formulation interview techniques; Social De te rmin a nts of health; Health Related Social Needs; and Discussion of Access Services and Covered Services for patients enrolled in MHCP. Describe how providers will be instructed to utilize best practices to connect children and families to other supports post-assessment, including: Referral to appropriate level of care; and Referral to supportive services that require establishment of a diagnosis. Provide trainings that are trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive. Culturally responsive means to, “Provide effective, equitable, understandable, and respectful quality care and services that are responsive to diverse cultural health beliefs and practices, preferred languages, health literacy, and other communication needs.” Trainings must utilize promising, culturally responsive, evidence-based practices. Grantees must create and conduct trainings in a culturally responsive manner and incorporate relevant cultural or ethnic practices into trainings.
