Specifications include, but are not limited to: The initial assessment will take place onsite/in-person in August after the freshmen class matriculates. Target dates for this assessment are between August 14, 2024 and August 30, 2024. • Conduct a thorough onsite assessment of the existing laundry facility, laundry management/point-of-sale system, equipment, and operations. • Evaluate current processes, workflow, and efficiency. • Observe the daily operations, including pick-up in the barracks, intake, sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding, packaging, and delivery of laundry items. • Identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the current laundry operations. 2. Workflow and Process Optimization: • Analyze the current workflow of laundry within the laundry facility and suggest improvements for efficiency. • Analyze the current process and suggest improvements for cadet laundry drop-off and pick-up. • Develop and implement streamlined processes to reduce turnaround time, increase productivity, and improve tracking of garments. 3. Technology: • Review the laundry management software and point-of-sale (POS) system currently being utilized and recommend system and/or process improvements. • Recommend technological solutions for process automation, tracking, and reporting. Provide purchase and implementation price estimates for recommended solutions.
