Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Greenwood is seeking a qualified contractor for design/build services to perform necessary maintenance work on an existing gravel road in Uptown Greenwood. This unnamed alley is located off Edgefield Street. TMS# 6845-818-922. Challenges that exist within the alley are width, road surface, and storm drainage. PROJECT ELEMENTS MAY INCLUDE: 1. STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS • Expansion or upfitting of existing stormwater system to include tying existing roof drains. • Currently the City and adjacent businesses are experiencing flooding in heavy rains. 2. INSTALLATION OF NEW ROAD SURFACE • Grading and installation of new road surface and possible curb/gutter. • Current surface is gravel. 3. MAXIMIZING WIDTH WITHIN CITY ROW • Currently one lane road. City ROW will only allow for one way traffic. • Currently, we are not maximizing width. A portion of the gravel road is on private property. In order to maximize width, a retaining wall may need to be installed. We are open to other creative solutions. 4. Other elements as identified and deemed necessary by the contractor.
