Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Description of Removable Court: A high-performance multi-layered resilient sports flooring system designed for a wide range of applications, from multi-purpose gymnasiums to professional sports arenas. To be Gerflor/TaraFlex Sport M Plus or equivalent. B. Flooring Square Foot Amount required: • 1986 SF = Playing court • 8000 SF = Flooring for perimeter including custom colors. C. Physical Floor must meet the following requirements: • Thickness: minimum 2.0mm, no more than 8.0mm • Weight: minimum 2.0 kg/m², no more than 5.0 kg/m² • Density: minimum 1.2 kg/m³, no more than 2.0 kg/m³ • Impact absorption range: 22% - 50% • Rolling resistance range: 200N - 300N • Must meet at minimum ASTM F2772 Class 3: ≥34% - ≤45% shock absorption. • Must include dual density foam backing D. Environmental Floor properties must meet the following certifications: • FloorScore certified: FloorScore is a voluntary indoor air quality (IAQ) certification program that was developed by the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI). • GREENGUARD certified: GREENGUARD is a third-party certification program that tests products for indoor air quality emissions. i. Flooring must be Phthalate-free (except recycled content). • LEED credits: Indoor Environmental Quality (EQ) & Materials and Resources (MR) E. Materials Required for Installation/Cleanup: Supplier must provide materials & cleaning products needed for complete installation of the required square footage and cleanup, which includes the following: • Materials i. Game line tape ii. Seam tape iii. Storage tape • Installation tools: i. Hand clamps for materials movement. These shall become the property of LSU Athletics after installation is complete. F. Logos: • Must supply the following logo package items: i. Stencil file visual & paint sample approvals are required prior to production. ii. Court design shall include the following items below. Additionally, Exhibit A is attached for reference: a) 1 Center Court Logo - UP TO 18FT X 18 FT, 2 COLOR, 2 STENCIL – see “LSU” at center court in Exhibit A. b) 2 Lettering Marks - UP TO 4FT X 30 FT, 1 COLOR – see “TIGERS” logos in Exhibit A. c) 2 Affiliation logos - UP TO 4FT 6IN HIGH SCALED, 2 COLOR, 2 STENCIL– see “SEC” logos in Exhibit A. d) 2 “potential” additional corner logos – see “COX” at center court in Exhibit A. e) 2 Corner Logos - UP TO 20FT X 25FT, 1 COLOR, 1 STENCIL –see LSU Tiger Head on end lines in Exhibit A. * Note that Exhibit A is a draft court design in progress. The finalized artwork will be provided to the supplier after award as soon as artwork is complete. * • Colors: Custom to match LSU color i. LSU to provide PMS Color # (Purple Pantone 268C & Gold Pantone 123C. • Application of all logos must be done with paint. G. Maintenance & Storage: • Flooring must have capability to be maintained by sweeping or mopping with a mild detergent. Must also be resistant to stains and scuffs. • Supplier must include enough steel stackable storage cages & oversized storage cores to allow for complete storage of flooring when not in use. H. Court Production: • Court Production: i. Cutting of all materials to finished sizes ii. Layout and painting of lettering and logo per approved layout render I. Installation/Labor and Training: • Supplier must provide labor to: i. Receive and unload materials at site ii. Roll out materials for acclimation iii. Cut and fit materials to court layout iv. Cut openings for floor sleeves v. Apply seam tape, game line tape & logos vi. Clean-up after installation • Manager must come on site to provide: i. Oversight for installation ii. Training for LSU personnel on proper setup, storage, and maintenance. Date and time of training and installation will be coordinated after award. Any costs associated with the onsite training shall be included in bid price. • LSU Athletics Staff to provide at minimum 2-man crew during installation to assist with facility logistics and basic labor as directed by Supplier.
