Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide pharmacy services, pharmaceutical consultant services, Intravenous (IV) therapy services (referred to as “Services”), Over the Counter (“OTC”) products, sundry items, and training to the Client Agencies. a) The Contractor shall dispense medications as prescribed by the Client Agency prescriber. b) The Contractor shall be licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut and shall remain licensed for the Term of the Contract. If the Contractor’s license changes, is revoked, expired, or suspended during the Term of the Contract, the Contractor shall immediately notify the Department of Administrative Services (“DAS”) Contract Specialist and the Client Agency staff via phone. In such an event the Contractor shall provide a copy of the new license within one (1) hour via email prior to Performing any Services. c) The Contractor shall provide generic medication when filling prescriptions unless the Client Agency prescriber has requested in writing the brand name medication. If the generic medication is unavailable, the Contractor shall immediately contact the Client Agency prescriber via phone to determine if the Client Agency accepts an alternate medication prior to dispensing it.
