Specifications include, but are not limited to: (1)AIRAMBULANCE –FIXED WING - a. The Contractor will provide the emergency medical services and transport services as coordinated and authorized by OHA. b. Fixed-Wing service is primarily for moving injured or sick people to patient reception areas for continuation of medical care. c. Service may at times include transportation of a family member or caregiver. d. Service providers may also be utilized to transport personnel and/or equipment/supplies into the area of need. e. Fixed-Wing services require the use of an airport that has matching runway and ramp capacity. f. Flight planning should account for a complete round trip without possibly needing to refuel, unless otherwise noted in the mission assignment. g. Security, transportation (including patient care crew to and from LZ for the sending and receiving medical facilities), food, and/or rest facilities will be provided by the receiving jurisdiction (entity requesting OHA/PHD procure services under the Price Agreement) unless other arrangements have been made. h. All aircraft personnel and services will be provided by the contractor. i. Aircraft communication equipment may be programmable for interoperability. Plan for augmenting existing communication equipment to allow Fixed-Wing aircraft to communicate with air operations coordination center. Coordination with ground ambulance service may be required. VHF VMED 29. (2) Air Ambulance – Roto Wing - i. The Contractor will provide the emergency medical services and transport services as coordinated and authorized by OHA. ii. Roto-Wing service is primarily for moving injured or sick people to patient reception areas for continuation of medical care. iii. Service may at times include transportation of a family member or caregiver. iv. Service providers may also be utilized to transport personnel and/or equipment/supplies into the area of need. v. Roto-Wing services when applicable require the use of an airport that has matching ramp capacity. vi. Roto-Wing service will likely be required to land at temporary landing zones. These temporary LZ’s may or may not be staffed/managed. vii. Flight planning should account for a complete round trip without possibly needing to refuel, unless otherwise noted in the mission assignment. viii. Security, transportation (including patient care crew to and from LZ for the sending and receiving medical facilities), food, and/or rest facilities will be provided by the receiving jurisdiction (entity requesting OHA/PHD procure services under the Price Agreement) unless other arrangements have been made. ix.
