Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Contractor shall furnish all labor and equipment necessary to perform the mowing and trimming tasks in the RFP. • It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to verify the areas, sizes and quantities of the surfaces and items to be maintained in this RFP. Failure of the Contractor to verify the listed amounts shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility to provide all services required to the standards included herein, for the prices submitted in Contractor’s proposal. • Contractors are encouraged to inspect each location before bidding to familiarize themselves with all properties. • All mowing and trimming services are to be completed bi-weekly on Monday thru Friday or as weather permits. • No work shall be done on Saturday or Sunday without permission from MKAA. • Prior to mowing the Contractor must remove all litter and debris from mowing areas. • Maintain a uniform lawn height free from scalping. • It is highly recommended (for safety reasons) that guards are utilized for side or rear discharge mowers and preferred. • Care shall be taken to prevent discharge of grass clippings onto any adjacent private properties or onto any paved surface such as streets, jogging trails, sidewalks or storm drain system. These surfaces should be swept/blown clean by the Contractor immediately after each mowing. • All locations identified in Appendix 1 & Appendix 2 shall be cut to a maximum height of three and a half (3.5”) inches and shall not exceed six (6”) inches between mowing.
