Specifications include, but are not limited to: Server Administration Services – Manage computer systems and networks to include complex applications, databases, messaging, web and other servers and associated hardware, software, communications, operating systems necessary for the quality, security, performance, availability, recoverability, and reliability of the system. Ensure maintenance records on the equipment are current; develop operations, administrative, and quality assurance back-up plans and procedural documentation, and ensure that preventative maintenance is promptly and properly performed. Preventative maintenance, in addition to regularly scheduled items such as patches, should include prompt response to correct high severity issues (e.g., patches for zero-day exploits), particularly on public- facing systems. Set up new users and edit or remove existing users on server. Perform server performance and capacity management services with reporting when specified thresholds are reached. Regularly test backup and disaster recovery systems and procedures. Configuration management including changes, upgrades, patches, etc. Network Administration Services – Scope of activity includes all town network equipment including switches, firewalls, routers, and other security devices, and the Town’s wireless infrastructure, including wireless access points and related equipment/software. Primary maintenance including regular analysis, routine configuration changes, and installation of patches and upgrades. Network performance and capacity management services, and network troubleshooting. Maintain network documentation and procedures. Security – Review of virus detection programs on Town Servers, email and all other Town computers and laptops. Perform security audits as requested. Configure Town systems to enable remote access in a secure environment and provide remote access administration as requested by designated Town personnel. As well as the following: 24/7 desktop/server monitoring and alerting Network Firewall Monitoring Microsoft and 3rd Party Patch Management Manage AI Antivirus and Antispyware Security Administration Provide Security Operations Center as a service Dark Web Monitoring of Town email addresses Backup Monitoring and Administration Maintain inventory of all IT related equipment. Safeguarding legacy systems that must remain in use Security Audits, such as configuration checking, penetration testing, and verification that no inappropriate ports or applications are accessible Provide monthly warranty status on servers, laptops, and desktops Incident management actions taken in response to security alerts, security vulnerabilities, infected servers, etc.
